Giving back to our communities
The team at AlphaXO Risk Partners has decided to try to make a positive difference to its broader communities.
It has set a target to raise A$50k for charities. The AlphaXO team is choosing charities close to their hearts and planning a series of activities. Ideas mooted range from morning teas and sponsored bike rides and walks to shaving heads – or for those already bald, maybe growing beards.
We would like to give something back and stand for more than being Extraordinary Risk Partners. The team is looking to undertake each fundraising activity with at least one other person from AlphaXO and/or our broader business partners to build collaboration and have fun!
We will be doing what we can to promote the team’s efforts and hopefully share some great photos, stories and causes along the way.
To kick start the initiative Andrew Glover and Rupert Morton joined Can Too in the 1km Balmoral open water swimming race in early April 2019 – fortunately for Andrew, it included lessons, as could barely swim 50m. This was followed by the Mood Walk for the Black Dog Institute.
The Melbourne office hosted a Biggest Morning Tea event to support the Cancer Council and Jessica Everingham from the Sydney office took part in the Newtopian Sleepout to support local people who are homeless or at risk of being homeless.
If any clients or business partners are interested in becoming involved with AlphaXO in helping achieve our charity goal, please don’t hesitate to contact Andrew Glover and maybe even throw down a challenge to the AlphaXO team.
